A lot of modern software products utilize Internet. Such applications do not operate if the connection is absent. Everybody knows that web sites are among these applications, as no site can operate without Internet connection. Besides, one can interact with a web site only through a browser.

So, it is necessary to consider networking issues and popular mobile or desktop browsers planning web site testing on desktop or mobile devices.

One should determine whether the software requires networking connection or not, preparing for mobile application testing or for desktop testing. It may be hard to find this out about a mobile program from the first glance.

A software testing company will confirm that the majority of mobile software requires Internet for work. One should try to use the application when Airplane Mode is activated in order to clarify this issue. If it is impossible to interact with the software product, it means that it needs networking connection. As a rule, hardly any mobile testing is performed without checking networking issues.

Web software products, unlike native ones, install on the user machine only some things that allow finding path to the necessary data and the account and enhancing work of the application. Their main content is stored somewhere on a server.

Manual and automated testing of such programs has its peculiarities and should include tests involving various networking conditions.
