It is known that quality assurance and web site testing, desktop testing and mobile application testing are of utmost importance for success of a software product on the market.

That is why different software testing standards appeared. The standards vary, but all of them aim to make a testing process fruitful, to touch all the aspects of the tested application and do not allow serious software bugs appear in production.

One should first learn the application requirements, the project deadlines and available resources before planning software testing. Then one may elaborate the test plan and test strategy based on the software specification.
