Different events and even troubles occur in our lives in the same way or slightly changed. Life is believed to have the cyclic nature. That is why it is better to track important moments in order to prevent any problems or to make the change even better.

It concerns software product testing too. Testers always have bugs documented. They add some information about the defect item using code lines or the source code library.

Bug Tracking Includes:

  • identifier;
  • summary;
  • description.

Performing functional testing of this or that product, testers may find similar bugs. And testers have already known the approximate time needed for their fixing. To make the product development quicker, testers should report about serious defects that demand a long clearing time.

If a lot of bugs are found during automated testing, it is complicated to find out which of them are already fixed. In this particular case, the listed and documented bugs will simplify a problem. Testers will avoid looking for a needle in a bundle of hay.

In software testing company a big bug backlog is not a motivational statement for a team. The collaboration of developers and tester is the way out. For example, during performance testing when tester finds a bug that can be easily fixed but it needs some time to be documented. A simple conversation with the developer can save time and affords.

The aim of testing is not to report the biggest amount of bugs possible and to have these bugs all documented in a perfect way. Testers work in a team to produce the software of the highest quality for users and clients.
