The Testing Community: One Man No Man

Software testing gives an excellent opportunity for career development and self-realization. The specialists of software testing company know that the product or application checking is a gold mine. But some are not sure that testing opens a lot of doors and provides a prosperous life.
Why are some testers unable to realize and use all benefits of such an occupation? Why do some specialists change their activity after a year of working or even less? The answer is simple – laziness. This is the thing.
Some testers do not want to improve and develop their careers. They neither ask questions or advice, nor attend any conferences or meetings. Such people lose the possibility of self-development in the testing community.
What Are the Advantages of the Testing Community?
- If one has some difficulties in performing load testing[1] or white-box testing[2], he can put questions or ask for advice. Testers are always ready to help their colleagues. Everyone will share his experience and knowledge with others.
- For testers, it is very important to keep up to date with everything concerning their main field. The automated testing[3] will be more successful and faster in the case of using up-to-date methodology for autotest creation.
- The testing community is a unique concept. There is a common aim that is shared by all members of the community. That is the development of the product that will satisfy the end user’s needs.
- The motivation and help of the testing community can be got not only in the office but also outside. Testers may meet and communicate with each other at conferences, meetings, using social networks, etc.
To be a part of the testing community is a real honor for every tester.
