Fortunately for everybody concerned, software testing is no longer considered as a purely theoretical area of knowledge or activity.

Instead, testing is more and more often perceived as a full-fledged software engineering area, the direct responsibility of which is the quality of products used by customers in their professional and personal lives. Still, there are problems that negatively affect software testing, both as an industry and as a process that takes place in a software testing company[1].

What Is Stopping Software Testing from Being Effective?

Of course, there are plenty of other factors that inhibit the development of software testing. For example, this software engineering area is flooded with incompetent professionals who either don’t enjoy what they are doing or consider testing as a “takeoff ramp” for another occupation or loftier position.

However, if those who care are ready to exert every effort, a change will come.
