Improving Testing Process with Continuous Learning

Typical software testing company never stands still but always strives to improve its overall process of testing.

In order to do this, a company needs to apply the principles of continuous learning in its workflow. This refers both to an entire organization and to each specialist of software testing employed in this organization. A tester learns something new with every project, every iteration of functional testing, every test case executed during manual testing, every script created during automated testing, etc.

As to the whole company, its learning process should always start with proper planning. For example, if a company intends to implement a new test process improvement project, its employees should thoroughly plan every aspect of this project. Next, employees engaged in a new project need to bring the idea to life based on the plan and project backlog.

Once the project is running, it is important for a team to check whether it brings expected results. Determining some key performance indicators is a great idea for this task. Finally, a team should apply all knowledge received during the checking stage and make the project even more effective.

On the basis of the foregoing information, the company’s learning process should be divided into four cyclical stages.
