Difference Between System and Acceptance Testing
Acceptance testing tests the system whether it satisfies the requirements.
It is alike with System testing in such focus that the whole system is checked. But it is significant dissimilarity between them.
System testing verifies that the system that was specified has been delivered. Acceptance testing verifies that the system will deliver what was requested.
The customer (not the developer) should perform Acceptance testing. The client knows what is required from the system to reach value in the business, that’s why client is the only person qualified to judge in this situation.
This type of software testing is more about assurance that the software product is delivered as it was determined by the client.
It is something like getting a green light from the client that the software product satisfies the requirements and is ready to be used.
