It is known that work of many modern mobile applications is based on information about the tablet, smartphone or mobile phone location.
This means that proper operation of location services is vital for the mobile software products relying on the device position. That is why functioning of location services must be checked during mobile testing.
Developers usually try to make sure that the software targets the device position correctly under various conditions and enable their applications to use several methods of spotting the device position.
But a professional software testing company affirms that under some circumstances in real life a mobile application may be unable to determine the device position or does it incorrectly. Testers should check such cases in course of mobile application testing and see how the tested software behaves in these situations.
Performing mobile testing it is wise to check how the mobile software spots the device position under mentioned conditions and their combinations.
Software products for personal computers usually do not use location services and one needn’t to check the mentioned situations during web site testing or desktop testing.
