Why Mobile Apps Often Have Connectivity Defects
A short time ago we dealt only with wired Internet connection. Today we often work with reliable and fast wired connection, with wireless one and with various technologies. People, who develop software products or perform web site testing, desktop testing or mobile testing, sometimes forget that these types of Internet connection differ.
Modern mobile applications have some connectivity issues that are uncharacteristic of desktop software products. That is why a software testing company claims that handling of poor connection and ability to operate under different connectivity constrains are of utmost importance for mobile programs. One should keep this in mind planning and executing mobile application testing.
Networking Condition of a Mobile Application are Almost Always Worse Than of a Desktop One Because:
- Mobile software always searches for a suitable provider and uses various technologies in order to maintain appropriate connection when the mobile device functions during movement;
- Even when a mobile device does not move there are always various interferences in wireless signals. By no means always people work with mobile software close to a hot spot where the signals are strong.
So, it is necessary to pay considerable attention to connectivity aspects creating mobile software products and executing mobile testing.
