As a rule, testing process is oriented on finding as many software bugs, as possible. Testers search for weak points and errors in all parts of the tested program. Risk-based testing is widely utilized and risk-based approach is considered to be very effective.

Because of focusing on errors one may lose the main goals of mobile testing, desktop testing and web site testing. In some situations it may be necessary to assure proper operating only of certain functions. So, one should concentrate on what the system does and on what it should do properly rather than on what is wrong with the system. This approach is opposite to risk-based.

Advantages of Concentrating on Positive Aspects of the Tested Software:

A software testing company claims that focusing on positive aspects is suitable for testing demo versions of software products. In this case web site testing, desktop testing and mobile application testing is executed in order to check whether the required scenarios work correctly. The rest of functions are not significant for such applications.
