Mobile versions of sites have become popular for the recent few years. It is convenient to read news, select and order products or services while walking in a park or street, sitting in an airport or public transport.
Unfortunately, web site testing on mobile devices and mobile application testing show that mobile web sites are not as good as desired. A professional software testing company would confirm that the main reason of imperfections of mobile web applications is that originally web technology has been elaborated for personal computers.
Web software engineers got used to the fact that the users interact with web applications by means of keyboard and mouse, and personal computers have large screens.
But the users interact with mobile devices by tapping and gesturing, and screens of tablets and smartphones are much smaller than screens of personal computers. Hardly anyone often uses keyboard or mouse for work on a mobile device nowadays.
It is necessary to consider such defects, executing manual testing of a mobile web program. Those, who are involved in mobile testing, know that such defects prevent from enjoying good user experience.
