How to Perform Software Testing Effectively?

As a rule, information technology attracts extraordinary people with a creative mindset. This field is always developing, and new ideas and solutions appear all the time.

Every software development process is unique and requires custom solutions, that is why every mobile testing, desktop testing and web site testing is also tailor-made for the development process. So, testing works are never the same, every software testing process has some peculiarities.

But certain recommendations are helpful any testing process.

Useful Advices for Test Engineers:

• Provide detailed error reports. They should include not only steps to reproduce the errors and their descriptions, but information about their probable causes and suppositions how to correct them as well.
• Include many different testing types in the project, if possible. Functional testing, usability testing, performance testing, load testing, security testing and so on verify different aspects of the program. They increase the test coverage.
• Divide the program functions into small elements and write test cases for every element. This approach helps to achieve sufficient test coverage and not to omit any important aspect.
• Prioritize the test cases. It is important to verify parts and aspects of high priority regardless of time limitations.
• Begin to write test cases based on the software requirements as soon as they are ready. In this case one makes sure that the requirements are testable.
