Why Should One Participate in Beta Testing?

Today information technology involves not only programmers, but a lot of specialists in other fields as well.
Software testing has become a perspective and rapidly evolving branch of IT. It includes numerous and diverse activities, some of them can be well performed by non-technical people, ordinary users. One of them is beta testing.
Beta testers help the software producers to improve their product, learn the users’ opinion about it. Beta testing is also beneficial for the testers.
Beta Testing Provides Such Opportunities for the Participants:
- Earning extra money. As a rule, companies pay beta testers for their services, so, it is a good way to earn some extra money.
- Getting basic experience in web site testing, desktop testing, mobile application testing. Beta testers do not have to be familiar with methods and peculiarities of functional testing, security testing, compatibility testing, etc., but such work can be a good start for building a career in this field. Sometimes IT companies hire the most diligent and talented beta testers as full-time employees.
- Chance to familiarize with a new software product. Beta testing is interesting, pleasant and useful occupation for those, who is fond of IT and works with different applications. Beta testers are the first who interact with the new product and they can tell the developers their comments on it.
