Peripheral testing provides the development of the bug-free product of a high quality. Testers should be attentive and concentrated while performing software testing. But it is important to keep in focus the general picture of the process and not only its separate elements.

Testers should develop their peripheral testing skills[1] to improve the quality of testing procedure. There are some simple recommendations which help to enhance peripheral testing skills.

What Improves Peripheral Testing Skills?

• It is the ability to see everything around without focusing specifically on something. While performing functional testing[2], the specialists should be open to find out something that they are not searching for, when this particular thing appears.
• The habit of reviewing performed operations. It is impossible to be always concentrated and attentive during load testing[3]. That is why it is necessary to put aside checked product component for some time. • Testing zone. While executing performance testing[4], the specialists should be very attentive. All distractions should be minimized. The work place is needed to be well-organized, and everything should be on its place.
• Pair testing. It is easier to find out bugs when two specialists work in pair during system testing. If one of them misses an error, there are more chances that the other one will notice it with the help of peripheral testing.
