In recent years, the number of companies choosing the Agile methodology has significantly increased.
While one software testing company [1]may achieve more due to the implementation of Agile principles, another one may just pursue the prevailing trend for nothing. To determine whether adherence to the Agile methodology is effective or worthless, a manager and a software tester can use specific criteria and parameters.
If mobile testing[2] or website testing[3] executed in Agile environment leads to increased quality of a product, then the adoption of the Agile methodology can be considered fruitful. Taking into account the difficulties of quality measurement, a lot of experts prefer to evaluate Agile efforts based on the timeliness of product delivery. A product can be considered as delivered on time if an agreed portion of its functionality is delivered on the agreed date.
It is also important that customers be satisfied with a product not only during acceptance testing but also when using a product after its release. Another essential aspect is that each delivered function should be associated with particular business values. Last but not least, the effectiveness of Agile efforts can be assessed based on improvement of the overall development and testing process.
