But software testing, as well as software development, is a creative process. Each application requires custom approach although utilizing of recognized testing approaches can be very useful. It provides better coverage of the tested software product and helps to find more software defects.
Among modern approaches to mobile application testing, desktop testing and web site testing are testing tours. Cem Kaner has written them up in his books. They turned to be efficient and are utilized not only by an ordinary software testing company but by such powerful players on software market as Google and Microsoft.
There are many kinds of testing tours. Cem Kaner writes about the tours for desktop applications. They should be a little bit different for mobile software products as it is necessary to consider the aspects that are irrelevant for desktop software products.
