How to Check Mobile Apps When the Battery is Low?
Performing mobile testing, desktop testing or web site testing it is necessary to check the software behavior under all possible situations.
Mobile devices mostly work on battery power. A battery becomes low from time to time and dies completely if it is not charged. Mobile devices have built in low-power mode. Some of the device functions do no work in this mode.
The majority of mobile software products also get into energy saving mode when the battery is low. They turn off or turn on some functions enabling them to reduce power usage. Low power mode influences over operating of software products. That is why a software testing company advises to check how the tested software behaves under mentioned conditions in course of mobile application testing.
In Order to Check How a Mobile Application Functions When the Battery is Low it is Necessary:
- to begin utilizing the software product before appearance of first notification about low battery;
- to use the software product until the battery is dead;
- to pay attention to the software product handling interruptions by notifications about low battery;
- to start charging the battery when it is dead, and watch how the software recovers and behaves in such situation.
The same can be done during web site testing or desktop testing when they are utilized on a laptop or on a computer of other kind that can function on battery power.
