The most important is to be good in finding defects during web site testing, desktop testing and mobile testing. But besides this there are some other informal rules that should be followed by test engineers.
In Order to Become Successful Testers Should:
- Thoroughly study the tested application. One should not limit familiarizing with the software by the requirements specification and other project documents. Different information about the product helps to see it from different perspectives and use different approaches to testing.
- Automate all the repetitive and routine actions, for example, deploying of the application builds. Automated testing is very useful if it is correctly implemented. It saves time that can be spent on other works that require creativity and thinking.
- Try to join the team as early as possible and be present at the meetings. In this case testers will know the project and its goals better and, as a result, functional testing, user interface testing, security testing and other works will be more effective.
- Make notes of important things, tasks, project specificity. They help to quickly find the necessary information and do not ask the managers, developers and colleagues the same questions many times.
