Most modern mobile devices are tooled up with touch screen. Touch screens have touch sensors that distinguish pressure or electrical impulses of a user. A mobile device interprets the inputs and responds. This way users interact with mobile devises through touch screen. So, during mobile testing testers face some situations that never happen during desktop testing or web site testing.

It is interesting and enjoyable to interact with a tablet or a smartphone by means of touch screen. But touch screen can also cause some problems. One of serious disadvantages of a touch screen is that its sensors often are not able to identify and deal with accidental inputs.

This way a user can accidently delete or damage important data, or perform needless or harmful actions, for instance, call emergency services. A software testing company advises its testers to remember about this disadvantage of touch sensors performing mobile application testing.

During Mobile Testing It Is Wise to Determine:

  • what happens with the application when a user input something accidently;
  • why and how accidental inputs happen most often;
  • how one may cut the likelihood of accidental inputs.

Personal computers are not equipped with touch screens and touch sensors, so testers do not have to consider their peculiarities executing desktop testing or web site testing.
