Data a Mobile Application May not Handle
Modern mobile applications are often very vulnerable to unsuitable inputs. There are situations during mobile application testing when a tester enters several certain symbols in a row and the software goes into an error state.
Web site and desktop testing show that software products for personal computers better handle unsuitable inputs, as a rule. That is why a professional software testing company recommends its testers to check carefully the mobile software product reaction on various inputs.
A Mobile Application May Freeze up or Go into an Error State if Inputted:
- too large files;
- too many files;
- files of the wrong type;
- characters from foreign languages;
- unexpected order of symbols, for instance, several commas in a row.
Tablets, smartphones and mobile phones have lower performance capacity and less storage space than personal computers. This is one of the reasons of mobile software vulnerability to various influences.
But a good mobile software product should be able to handle situations that often happen during usage. That is why it is wise to execute different types of load testing of mobile application. A QA company also always checks how the tested software processes data when several other applications are functioning on the same device.
